sneeze-fest

yesterday it was lovely and sunny. we rode our bikes to the greenhouse.
today it's cold and windy and the rain is hitting people's faces at a 45 degree angle and they look angry.

yesterday b and i bought and planted seeds (chamomile, tomatoes, zucchini squash) and herbs (chives, parsely, sweet basil) in our sunroom.
today i want to drink like, 18 cups of coffee and watch 2 movies back-to-back.

yesterday i planned on riding my bike to work in the morning.
today, from approximately 5:52AM-6:46AM, my cats decided to stage an all-out, 4-alarm brawl in the living room which made my morning sleep restless and i didn't allow myself enough time to ride.

...and i can't stop sneezing!

the news.

the bad news: my face is breaking out from the constant use of pancake makeup and both my legs might be broken.

the good news: "the golden truffle" is critic's choice in the reader and got a nice write-up in the sun-times! oh, and we got jeff-recommended...

it's all worth it!

happy camping!

it has been a long week or so since i've last written. i'm sorry! i've been tired and sad and tired and exhausted and busy. previews for "the golden truffle" last week and the opening tonight. it's getting to be pretty fun.

chicago has been beautiful for the past two days. yesterday it was 74 degrees outside. lovely. just lovely. today (at 8am) it's already 64. ha ha! there are hyacinths and budding branches and a general sense among people that we have almost made it. if we can get through april, it's smooth sailin'. the babies are especially darling in this weather, their tiny wisps of hair flying in the spring breeze as they run around in circles with an expression of supreme contentment on their sweet faces. i wish you could see it.

the sun is shining. i've got the next two days off work (thank you passover!) and i'm a happy camper.

morning "thoughts" 04.04.06

even coffee can't save me this morning.

rehearsal went into the wee hours last night and daylight savings time has messed with my internal clock. arg.

this morning i ran a bit late to work in order to shower. it was time for me to get clean.

i'm eating a chocolate croissant and drinking a big ol' cup o' joe from intelligentsia. later i'll be indulging in my latest snack craze. soy butter! my friend lindsey tipped me off to its tastiness and i've been a fan ever since. at her suggestion, i put it on bananas and apples. now i carry it with me in my purse at all times.

during these long days and late nights, i am so very grateful for my sweet b. he's been cooking wonderful meals for me (including my fave, his veggie chili) and generally keeping me sane. that's no easy task, so i would like to publicly thank him.
