gifted AND talented!

so, yesterday, while my sweet b was surfing the waves of the pacific ocean thousands of miles away, i was here at home, taking one for the softball team. we really stepped up yesterday, losing by only TWO measly points! not bad! we played like a real team last night and i was quite proud of us...

meanwhile, at a theater elsewhere in the city, paul (normally our manager for softball) was winning a jeff award (chicago's answer to the tony awards) for "hurlyburly." to him i say, "brava, chachi!"

b (as mickey)- hey buddy, want this snowball? be sort of danishish.

p (as eddie)- no. not hungry. i'd rather have a 2006 joseph jefferson citation
for best actor in a leading role...maybe. whatever. blah, blah, blah, rapeteta.

b- right, sure. who wouldn't. i mean - blah, blah, blah, rapeteta.

(beat.)

p- hot robe, dude.

(lights slowly fade.)
